Winter's First Day

Winter officially arrived about 7 this morning and there is no doubt that it's here. In the past 48 hours or so we've gotten probably 15 inches of snow, and now the wind is picking up, the temp is dropping and wind chills tomorrow will be 10 degrees BELOW zero.

I keep the sidewalks clear of snow and Ron plows both our place and the rentals. It's a lot of work and the snowpiles are huge. I can't see to get out of the driveway looking north.

Today Ron baked two apple cakes. Yummy.. can't wait to enjoy ours Christmas day.

Ron and I have a bunch of errands to run around town tomorrow. In the afternoon we're headed to St. Peter's in Albany for his scheduled renal flow scan. All people involved are hoping that his right ureter is blocked, thus accounting for the slow but steady rise in his creatinine levels.

My iPod died today. I am sooooo sad. On the bright side, though, I will get one that holds almost as many songs for half the price I paid for the old dinosauer and it will be extremely thin and light.

Weather: Snow, cold, wind, minus wind chill temps.

Exercise: Absolutely nothing other than vacuuming, doing 2 loads of clothes, shoveling and general puttering around the house.
