The past few days have been filled with melancholy. I miss Ron so much and it hurts more than in the first month when I was still numb. I want the game to end but I know it's not time yet.

- I live in the northern Catskill Mountain region, just south of Albany. I'm a volunteer in Big Brothers/Big Sisters. I am married for the second time and, in all honesty, have married the best man I've ever known -- the best man for me. I also have a great son; a wonderful (former) daughter-in-law; and a smart, beautiful, 3-year-old granddaughter Ember Rois. Life changes. However we characterize these changes, they are as sure a thing as death and taxes. How we react to them defines who we are.
