SNOW!!

Snow and cold weather today. Not nice. Not fair. Well, I kow there ARE worse things. Snow didn't amount to much, but the roads were greasy, as we like to call it, and the 8 to 10 miles heading north out of Greenville on 32 were, as usual, riddled with blizzard-like conditions where the wind whips across the open fields and dumps snow on the road.

Em was delivered by her mom to us yesterday mid-morning. She was in a bearish mood. Very negative. It's trying to say the least. I too often forget, though, that she will be only 3 years old on March 27. She was very good at Elsie's for dinner. She made both Ron and me proud.

Today with Em was a different story. She woke up happy, sweet and pretty much the rest of the day was like that. We played lots of games. She played by herself for a while. I also let her "do dishes" in the kitchen sink. Water play is fun and it gave me a chance to relax while keeping her company and monitoring how much water got on the floor.

Tony was going to drive to Stewart's in Feura Bush, our half way point, to pick Em up, but the roads were bad enough that Ron happily volunteered to drive her home. Nobody but nobody has the "No problem" attitude Ron has. Considering he had already driven to Albany for a CT scan in the morning on roads that were less than ideal, it was really sweet and extraordinary, in my opinion, for him to say, "We'll take her home." I was real glad. I didn't want Tony to drive in the bad weather, and I knew that with the 4-wheel truck, we'd make it fine.

After dropping Em at Tony's, Ron and I went to Red Lobster for dinner. Yummy! As usual, we brought home enough for supper tomorrow night.

As long as we were in Colonie, we went to BJs to pick up stuff. I was hoping to get out of there with $120 worth of stuff. Ha! Total was just shy of $175. Toooo much money.

Weather - Cold, snowy, windy. Going down to the single digits tonight, as the weather gerus like to say.

Gas prices - They've gone up a couple of pennies.

Exercise - My exercise the past 2 days has consisted of playing with Ember. I'm getting too old for this stuff.
