Ember's birthday party to celebrate her 2nd birthday was yesterday. The two posts just below this have pictures from the celebration. It still blows my mind that she is 2 years old. I admit I miss the pre-terrible-2 toddler. My favorite age for babies is about 8 months to 18 months, give or take. They're active; they're fun; they're easy to handle; they push buttons but not with any negative intentions in mind.
Thankfully, Ember is usually a pretty easy going toddler. She has her moments -- heck adults have their moments -- but she doesn't hold grudges, and she's full of hugs and kisses more than being contrary.
She loved the wagon we gave her. She climbed in and out and in and out, bringing her dolls with her and settling them in the seat across from the one she was occupying. This morning when her maternal grandmother came to pick her up to take to her house (she lives four doors away from Em), Em asked, "I dwive the wagon?" Nope.. not today.. for it was raining and sleeting and being miserable.
Tomorrow I have Ember, and though it's predicted to rain, I'm hoping that there will be a break so we can at least take a walk around Em's town.
Today was the appointment with the gastroenterologist. I heard what I consider good news, that being most people with Lymphocytic Colitis get over it anywhere from six months to two years. That may sound like a long time, but in my opinion, it's nothing compared to the rest of what I hope is my long life. In the meantime I'm on a drug which should ease the symptoms. I've had problems on and off for the past two weeks. I'm thankful they don't occur every day.
Today's weather - We had everything happen but sunshine. Temps never got above 35 degrees. It rained. It sleeted. It snowed a little bit. It stopped and the sky brightened, but then the rain came down again in torrents.
Life changes - One moment I'm concerned about a condition which could negatively affect the rest of my life, and within five minutes of being in the doctor's office, I'm feeling great relief because of his assumption my condition will fade away.
