Sample Day

Yesterday was an Ember day. She was a hellion..... lots of attitude... and I came home exhausted. Aunt Judy and I took Em to Bowman's Apple Farm in Rexford. She was extraordinarily demanding. Em had a good time, as evidenced by the pictures above, but it will be a while before I do an outing with her.

Today is Wednesday, and here is what my morning was like:

After showering, dressing and eating breakfast, I started laundry.

Ron and I drove to Freehold to order carpeting for the rental apartment and I looked at furniture. I found a sofa I really like and am seriously considering ordering it.

Ron went to Brookside to do some electrical work and I went to:
  • recycling
  • post office
  • National Bank of Coxsackie
  • library
  • Bryant's
  • Greene County Savings Bank
  • Rite-Aid
  • Dollar General
Everything but recycling is within a mile of the house (recycling is 2 miles) so I didn't have to drive far, but it's a lot of in and out of the car, shopping, standing in lines, etc.

When I got home from errands, I started turkey soup. I can smell it simmering. Too bad I don't like it. I'm pretty much a Campbell's girl, except for my home made onion soup.

Soon I'll finish laundry and do some exercising. I've got a few shows on DVR I'd like to see, and I've got half a dozen library books I hear calling me. There's not enough time in a day.

Today's weather - It is beautiful. The temp will hit low 60s, the sun is brightly shining and it's just a nice fall day.
