As usual, time flies when having fun. A quick synopsis of my past week is:
Monday - Home from visiting Ron's daughter in PA and then, of course, catching up on laundry, etc.
Tuesday - Taking care of Em. It was a day to stay home so we played with Play-Doh, did some dancing, read a bit and Em played by herself when I needed a break.
Wednesday - An exhausting day for me. Drove to Hannaford's in Colonie in early afternoon to do monthly grocery shopping for non-perishables. Met Deb at Colonie Center about 3 and we shopped for a while. Walking on the hard floors of the grocery store and then the mall does a number on my hips and knees so we sat and gave ourselves a rest before heading to Pancho's around the corner to meet Linda for our monthly dinner with the girls. Food was good and as always, company was also.
Thursday - We spent hours up in the Albany/Colonie area. Ron had an appointment with the sleep disorder doctor. He is off the CPAP, much to her dismay. We then went to St. Peter's for his blood work. The morning appts took so long we had no time for lunch before going to the urologist for an ultrasound of Ron's baldder. The doc there was pleased with how much was emptied and sent us on our way. We finally got lunch about 3 PM, then ran to BJs (spent $244!!!) and made a stop at Price Chopper on the way home to get perishables for the month. I was exhausted when we got home about 6 PM.
Friday - An Ember day. Again, we did an indoor day, playing, reading and preparing for her daddy's birthday. Tony's birthday is today, but since I wasn't going to be up there today, Em and I had a little birthday party for him when he got home from work Friday. We had cupcakes, each one with a candle in it, and Em had drawn daddy a picture of a whale, under water (a lot of blue there.. LOL). He loved it and it now resides on his refrigerator. The picture above is of Tony and cupcake-face Ember. What wonderful smiles on their faces.
Saturday - It was a day to clean, read and do some relaxing. For supper we went out for pizza.
Sunday - I did some more cleaning, watched quite a bit of TV (I've gotten hooked on The Starter Wife) and then went to Elsie's for supper.
Today - Guess what? It was another day to go to Albany. Ron had an appt with his cardiologist. Things are good there. We ate breakfast at Westgate Diner and then started running around... here and there. Lots of errands and Ron looking for things for hunting, from Colonie to Guilderland to Niskayuna.
Gas prices - They are dropping line stones. Stewart's made a corporate decision to drop gas prices by 10 cents a gallon so here in Greenville, it's selling for $3.519 a gallon. BJs, though, has got everybody beat. Members can buy gas for $3.369 a gallon. Ron wished he had an empty tank when he filled up.
Exercise - I've exercised sporadially the past week. On the tough Albany days, nothing got done specifically relating to exercise.
Today's weather - Today was crappy. It felt like November what with the chill, overcast sky and some rain. Pretty much this week has been chilly and not much sun.
Life lessons and/or changes - I don't have any to share. I'm sure I've learned something this past week but I don't feel like thinking enough to come up with something profound.
