Last week I took shots of the backyard. They appear in an earlier post. This week the apple tree is looking "fat" with future apple blossoms. The trees are leafing out and general foliage is greening up.

- I live in the northern Catskill Mountain region, just south of Albany. I'm a volunteer in Big Brothers/Big Sisters. I am married for the second time and, in all honesty, have married the best man I've ever known -- the best man for me. I also have a great son; a wonderful (former) daughter-in-law; and a smart, beautiful, 3-year-old granddaughter Ember Rois. Life changes. However we characterize these changes, they are as sure a thing as death and taxes. How we react to them defines who we are.
